You will be assigned to a group of two or three "geologists". You will each have a page on this wikispace to carry out your work. You can find your page under the class links to the left hand side of the page.
Bring in at least three samples of rocks or minerals that you can find in your neighborhood or have collected while on vacation. You should be able to share the approximate location where the rock was originally located.
From the rocks your group has brought in, select four rocks or minerals that interest you and you want to know more about.
Take a photo of the rock. You should take several photos of the rock as you carry out your testing to document your findings.
Using a standard rock / mineral identification strategy, attempt to determine the identify of the rock or mineral.
On your group wiki page, add the following;
an image of the rock
a short paragraph about why you felt the rock was interesting
a summary of your test findings
your identification of the rock / mineral

Prends une photo de la roche. Tu devrais prendre plusieurs photos de la roche tout au long de la période d'expérimentation afin de bien documenter tes résultats.
En utilisant une clé d'identification des roches / minéraux, essaie de déterminer l'identité de la roche ou du minéral.
Sur le page wiki de ton groupe, ajoute les informations suivantes :
une image de la roche
un paragraphe expliquant les raisons que tu trouves la roche intéressante
